INSTRUCTOR
Shawn Witherspoon, PT, DPT is a licensed physical therapist with 30 years of experience. Dr. Witherspoon has worked extensively in the field of Geriatrics in acute and post-acute care settings and has served as an officer in the United States Public Health Service. Her involvement in the post-acute care arena has enabled her to participate in Medicare demonstration projects serving as site coordinator for the development of a universal post-acute care assessment tool and as therapy consultant in a bundled payment reimbursement design. Dr. Witherspoon currently works for the Veterans Health Administration in a community living center and serves as a clinical instructor for the Geriatric Specialty Residency Program. Dr. Witherspoon’s knowledge of Medicare post-acute care payment reform provides informative and applicable information to help participants understand how the changes in healthcare policy directly affect reimbursement and the direction of rehabilitation services.

Cancelation Policy: A full refund is returned if cancellation is within 7 days of scheduled live courses or events. A $25.00 non-refundable administrative fee will be deducted if payment is canceled within 24hrs of a live course or event; no refunds awarded on the day of live courses or events. No refund with recorded courses or events. If an event or course is canceled by the organizer, a full refund will be awarded if the participant is unable to reschedule at another time or with another course.
